I put a new radio on my 2003 trailblazer with a wire harness to keep stw controls plugged all color coded wires and it works great when i turn the the key to ACC ON but whe i START the there is no audio no audio at all..im no car audio pro but have done many cars for friends using wire harnes for easy install but have never had this issue and cant figure it out..

I am seeking a solution where the car speaker initially runs from the factory radio output signal, but switches to the amplifier output once the car engine starts. This setup aims to conserve the car battery by preventing it from draining power when the car is not running, while still allowing me to enjoy music from the factory radio, as it consumes less power.

Is the volume control knob motorized?I mean when you adjust vol via remote the knob rotates accordingly.

I recently picked up a Bravia LED 4K UHD as my previous Bravia was just well, time to step it up. I have been using my Yamaha receiver with the previous Bravia and that's 10+ I'd say. But now with my new Bravia I've noticed playing a bluray through it all. The audio video sync seems off in the millisecond area. So I experimented with muting my receiver and just using the tv speakers. I'd say near the audio video was perfect. So I am wondering if my Yamaha receiver just can't handle todays tv tech? I am looking at this receiver though as the price point is good. I'm also wondering if I'll need banana clips to attach my wired sub to this new receiver? Thoughts?

I can't use a class d amplifier in my car. They cause too much rfi to even listen to the radio. I have tried cheap to expensive and the outcome is similar. Of course, higher quality class d amps are better, it is still an issue. I drive a Fiesta ST, and the only place to put amps is in the hatch. Of course what is directly above the hatch? The radio antenna. That mushroom cloud of rfi just kills radio signals unless they are really close and strong. I live in a thinly populated area so radio stations are far away. Even in the city, the HD channels will not work with a class d. So I swapped the amps with A/B amps and have no radio station issues.

Have your NAD C375 BEE that you recommended several years ago, & enjoy so much, to this day ! ( Running Polk RTi-A9 speakers, Technics 1200GLD with Ortofon 2M Black cartridge... Keep up the great work Crutchfield ! ( Bought your Salamander Cherrie Wood Stereo Cabinet few years back, it is GREAT !

Re the trigger wire - "If this isn't hooked up your stereo's never going to know you've shifted into reverse". True unless your car uses CANBUS, you have a capable stereo and the correct adapter, in which case the car will tell the stereo you've shifted. In short if using a fully CANBUS-equipped car don't bother connecting the trigger wire. I appreciate this is video provides information specific to the equipment sold by this company, however it may not be correct for all newcomers using alternative products.

Sorry but i cannot believe these sound better than the original SDAs with their multiple drivers going all the way down to 18 hz . plus the choice of 2, 4,6 and eight mid/drivers with half as many tweeters was unbeatable . the bass was lighting fast and clean .

When I bought my pa active mixer it was so light I couldn't understand. At first I thought it will be a POS and very under powered but I can't believe how much sound is generated by it. My previous amp was a A or AB and that thing was heavy. So because of the weight of my new active mixer I assume it's a class D

Left out was important that the room be anechoic, lined with sound dampening material. The normal listening room csn vary widely, from draoes and carpet to hardwood floors. Classical music is very dynamic and in concert peak at 95-105 dB but have long passages doen at 40 dB quiet library. Duration is part of the damage to hearing. FYI.

Although I had trouble updating the maps in my other comment below, I can say this. The sound of this Kenwood DNX-697S is VERY GOOD. I can tailor the sound in many ways. My whole stereo is after market. I did not use any component speakers. I just wanted to use the existing factory speaker holes. I have Rockford Fosgate 6 X 9s 2 - ways (R169X2) in the front doors, Focal (RCX-165) 6-1/2 inch 2 - ways in the rear doors, the Alpine PWE-S8 120-watt RMS 8” powered sub under the driver’s seat. All 3 of these items I purchased with Crutchfield. The Kenwood DNX-697S and a 60-watt RMS X 4 channel Rockford Fosgate Power T400-4 under the passenger seat were purchased from my installer. My primary music source has been a flash drive containing my own personal library of music I've collected over the years. I have MP3, WAV and FLAC files. I hear strings, layers of horns and flutes I never heard before in songs I’ve known for years!

I built a powered speaker with class B amplifier (yes, class B). It uses negative feedback to provide a "corrected" waveform to the output transistors (opposite to how they would distort) and it sounds pretty decent.

2008 Civic - There is no blue wire to attach the blue antenna lead to. From what I can find the switched 12V line is the correct wire - does that sound right?

Question! Can I connect red wires from 2 camera video cables to hot stereo input wire? Thank You for the clear instructions! You can also run a wire for the back up camera all the way back to the reverse tail light wire along with the video cable!
